Universal Loving-Kindness exercise begins by having you close your eyes for a minute or two resting into the "natural ease of your mind and body, and repeat the following phrases for 10 minutes.
- May all individuals gain freedom from suffering.
- May all individuals find sustained health, happiness and wholeness.
- May I assist all individuals in gaining freedom from suffering.
- May I assist all individuals in finding health, happiness and wholeness."
The Integral Assessment is an exercise that has one "take inventory of the four aspects of my life and determine which area needs attention." This assessment has been very enlightening. I have come to realize how effective a positive self-image is so crucial to how our body responds. I have noticed immediate results just from changing my thoughts.
I am working on the Psychospiritual aspect. Working on emotional patterns i have experienced is essential to the level of stress and how my body responds to stress.
I plan to use meditation and QiGong to pursue and create a habbitt around clearing myself of these holding patterns and energy.
Hey Sarah, The assesments are good tools for the area that you working on in your life. They've helped you identify psychospiritual imbalance, how your body response to your thinking and you plan to practice QiGong. I view the psychospiritual as energy and QiGong is energy medicine. Meditation on universal loving-kindness can be the medicine for re-wiring the brain's thinking pattern by forming healthy thinking habits.
ReplyDeleteYou have a good self RX there. Good luck. I would use this health care plan for a client for psychospiritual growth and development because it is a holistic approach.
