Welcome all to my blog!
Working through some of my homework this week, made me think about balance, which could not have come at a better time.
I somehow, in the midst of my busy life, managed to come up with the following statement:
Having balance in regards to our body, mind and spirit will bring us all to a new level of healing.
I think this is an interesting point to ponder in our lives. Analyze each aspect in life and figuring out how to balance it all is the question isn't it? How do we not let our careers/jobs bleed to much into our personal lives, and maintain a healthy level of spirituality (not religious beliefs but connection to our higher-self).
There will be many 'hot topics' of discussion here about the body, the mind and spirit.
Striving to achieve balance and figuring out how to get there is really the goal, for me, of the blog.
I appreciate all of your participation and can not wait to engage in great discussion over these topics.
Welcome all!

Sarah,
ReplyDeleteBalancing our work and home life is so important but it seems to me that most people I know don't seem to want to. The constant conflict my coworkers have with work drama drains me. In my many years of living I have learned to turn off work and go home and to turn off home to go to work. I decided to evaluate the things that were most important to me and put them first. A job can be replaced. Ill health because of work stress can be avoided. My favorite all time line from a movie will always be "I never minded the small stuff".
Maggie,
ReplyDeleteI understand your frustration of those who choose to feed into drama or don't choose to leave their personal life outside of work. I guess my work is a little different. I love massage and everything it is to me and my clients, sometimes though, i wish I did not know so much about the body. They say ignorance is bliss! 5% of the time I would agree. I think when my thoughts take me to this level, it is a true indication that I need bodywork/energy work.
I remember the movie from which that quote came! I agree, and it is a constant struggle to ignore/not let the small stuff add up.
Thank you for commenting :)
